Matt Harris
Former Cathedral Prep star Matt Harris was a consistent scorer for the freshman-laden University of Massachusetts-Lowell River Hawks, who concluded their American East Conference season with a 12-17 mark.
Harris, a 6-1 guard who averaged 22.3 points in his senior year with the Ramblers, averaged 8.8 points per game mostly shooting from the outside, where he sank 47 3-pointers to lead the team that had 7 true freshmen on the roster.
Harris appeared in 26 games, averaging 20.5 minutes, and shot 41.6 percent 77-185) from the field, including 37 percent (47-127) from beyond the arc, and 76.3 percent (29-38) from the line. He had a personal-best 21 points against Maine ) and UMBC .
